With all the uncertainty around COVID-19, we have decided to split the indoor seasons into 2 season Fall (Sept 28 to Dec10) and Winter (Jan to March). We are working with Public Health and the City of Yorkton to ensure that the environment we provide is safe and meets the standards set forth by the provincial government.
For the Winter Season, City of Yorkton has advised that YUFC will be limited to 30 athletes/coaches at a time on the Flexihall floor (which is in line with current provincial guidelines). Due to these restrictions, we have decided to offer only 1 program for the winter season. This program will be a training program similar to our "Club Program". Athletes will train within their age group, and coaches will lead them through activities designed to develop their soccer abilities. Every session will end with a short scrimmage.
Out of town travel for competition is currently not allowed in soccer. We do not expect that this will change in the near future but we are hoping that restrictions will be lifted towards the end of the season. If restrictions are lifted we would look to set up exhibition games with partner clubs for U9 and older age groups.
Volunteering: In order to operate this indoor season, YUFC will have to track attendance for all players, spectators, staff, and volunteers to facilitate contact tracing and disinfect shared equipment between sessions. In order to facilitate these requirements, members will need to complete 5 hours of volunteer service or pay a buy out of $100. Click here to view the updated VOLUNTEER POLICY.
